This is Sunday morning. Icod has no farmers' market in the Cabildo's listing, but Garachico does, and by eight it is open. Breakfast next door, shop, and back to the terrace.

Bar Cafetería Gara, in Garachico
It is the only place in the whole district whose opening time we can state, because its own site publishes it: Tuesday to Friday from 7:30, Saturdays and Sundays from 8:30, closed Mondays. Street number and phone differ between its site and the council's directory: you go, you do not call.
Mid-morning
The farmers' market, Plaza de la Libertad
Sundays 8:00–14:00, per the Cabildo's list of farmers' markets. Cheese, local fruit and whatever the week gives. La Guancha, Los Silos and Buenavista have their own on Saturdays or Sundays, eleven to sixteen kilometres away.

The terrace at Finca Julia
The house has a full kitchen, a table outside and fruit trees all round. What you bought at the market is eaten on the terrace, looking at the town and the sea: that is the Sunday plan, and there is no more to it.

A winery of the Ycoden-Daute-Isora DO with a booked visit, the wine museum on Plaza de la Pila and dinner in the old town. Wine afternoon, ten minutes away.
