Icod's best-known festival and one of the strangest in the Canaries: on 29 and 30 November, young people hurtle down the cobbled streets of the old town riding greased wooden boards. On the night of the 28th the new wine is uncorked on Plaza de Lorenzo Cáceres, and that is why the two coincide: San Andrés marks the opening of the harvest.

The rest are festivals whose programme the council sets each year, and for those we publish the month and say the day is unconfirmed.
We would have liked to plug this into the councils' own agendas, but there is nothing to plug into: Icod has an events section on its site that is empty, Garachico has a working calendar feed with nothing loaded since 2020, and the island council's agenda offers no machine-readable format. The day any of them publishes, this hooks straight in.
