Lago Martiánez (Complejo Costa Martiánez)
A lido by the sea in Puerto de la Cruz, designed in the mid-1970s by a team led by César Manrique. Around a large artificial seawater lake there are four adult pools and three children's pools, with sun terraces, sculptures and Canarian plants. It is listed as a Site of Cultural Interest in the Historic Garden category.
Playa de San Telmo
A small urban beach of pebbles and black sand, about 20 metres long, in Puerto de la Cruz near Lago Martiánez. It is easy to reach on foot and has disabled access. There are showers and bars, but no parking.
Casco histórico de Puerto de la Cruz
Puerto de la Cruz's old quarter, declared a historic-artistic ensemble in 1985, centres on Plaza del Charco, which keeps its old fountain, Indian laurels and palm trees. Nearby are the Casa de la Real Aduana (1620), now the tourist office, beside the fishing harbour and the old fishermen's quarter of La Ranilla; the church of La Peña de Francia, the church of San Francisco, regarded as the oldest building in town, and the San Telmo chapel on the seafront promenade.
