Where to stay near the Cueva del Viento: Finca Julia is in Icod de los Vinos, the cave's own municipality. Why sleeping close helps and what else is near.

The Cueva del Viento is not "near Icod": it is in Icod. The visitor centre on Calle Los Piquetes belongs to the same municipality as Finca Julia, and that has practical consequences beyond saving a drive.
Why sleeping next door matters
Cave slots hold fifteen people and the early-morning ones are the best: less sun on the outdoor stretch and a fresher group. From the south of the island, an early slot means getting up in the dark and driving for over an hour. From the Icod midlands, it means breakfast on the terrace and leaving with time to spare.
The same applies to what comes after. The visit ends mid-morning and, instead of facing the drive back, you have the old town, the Millennial Dragon Tree and San Marcos beach minutes away, and the house for the nap you are going to need.

Finca Julia is a restored old Canarian house in the midlands, for four people: two bedrooms, three beds, one bathroom, a kitchen, WiFi, free street parking and self check-in. It has a terrace with loungers, a patio with a cold outdoor shower, fruit trees and views of the Atlantic and the mountain.
